Now with bank account, everyone can register domain name .vn and do online payment on Internet. It both save time compared with the tranditional method and ensure domain name ownership immediately.

Normally, people have to go to registry place to write the domain authorization application, do fees payment and wait. If your domain idea is confirmed by other people before, you will lose the desired domain name or have to spend more time to register the other domain name.

 “We nurtured this idea for a long time, now it is the right time to implement the online registration”, Mr. Tran Minh Tan, Deputy Director of  Vietnam Internet centre VNNIC expressed. “The development of the online payment services and the connection between the banks become the favorable factor for this desire”.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Quang, domain service manager of FPT online data company (IDS), said that the Circular 09 of Ministry of information and communication which rejects the request to have application on paper and allows the registration can sell domain names for the customer in all countries, is the necessary condition to deploy the online registration. “This make the domain name .vn are more common in the world and develop the domain business of the e-commerce in Vietnam”, Mr Quang commented.

At present, IDS - the first registration implemented the selling the domain name .vn on data.fpt.vn system. Customer can do payment by the international cards such as Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, JCB, American Express and the local debit card as Vietcombank Connect24

When the individual customer register online domain name, they have to do payment by their account and take responsibility about the information in the online application.
